What Is the Feedback System?
The Feedback System is one of VersyTalks' most collaborative features, it allows debaters to help one another refine their arguments through direct, constructive feedback.
Every debater can review another's post and suggest specific text changes or improvements. These suggestions appear to the argument's author, who can accept or reject them with one click.
Accepted edits are automatically applied, and the contributor's name is added to the edit history for transparency and recognition.
How It Works
The feedback process is simple and transparent:
- Identify an Argument: Browse debates and select an argument that could benefit from refinement.
- Offer Feedback: Suggest precise text edits or comments to clarify reasoning, tone, or structure.
- Author Review: The original author reviews your input and can accept or decline the proposed change.
- Automatic Update: If accepted, the argument updates instantly, and your contribution appears in the argument's history log.
Why the Feedback System Matters
The Feedback System reflects our mission to elevate online debate quality.
- It promotes critical thinking and active learning.
- It builds a supportive debate culture where improvement is communal.
- It rewards leadership and compassion, qualities central to healthy discourse.
