  • Yes, all users can participate anonymously. You control what information to share publicly. Your personal data remains completely secure and encrypted—even our internal team cannot access private identifying information. Choose an alias to express ideas freely while maintaining respect, safety, and fairness throughout our community.

  • You can edit arguments within one hour of posting to preserve debate integrity. After one hour, edits lock automatically. If you need corrections after this window, contact our support team at contact@versytalks.com, and we'll review your request promptly.

  • Winners depend on debate type. Debater of the Month winners are chosen through community voting. Mystery Debates and Sponsored Debates are judged internally based on argument quality, originality, research depth, and contribution value. Community Debates have no official winners—votes and engagement reflect strong argumentation and community appreciation. Special events may have unique judging criteria.

  • Debater of the Month is a recurring monthly competition celebrating our most active and impactful contributors. Earn votes from peers during discussions on eligible debates. At month's end, top-voted debaters share a minimum $120 prize pool. Winners also receive exclusive achievement badges and increased platform visibility. Votes are monitored to ensure fairness and reward authentic, high-quality engagement.

Features & Tools

  • Our feedback system enables collaborative improvement. Any user can propose constructive text edits to another debater's argument. Argument owners review suggestions and accept or decline changes. When accepted, the argument updates automatically, and the contributor's name appears in edit history. Providing thoughtful feedback demonstrates leadership and commitment to quality debate—one of our most rewarded activities.

  • Mystery Debates are exclusive challenges with private prizes that appear occasionally on the homepage or in hidden platform areas. Each has specific unlock criteria—such as participating in 10 debates or providing 4 feedback contributions. Once unlocked, compete for prizes awarded to the most creative, meaningful, and well-argued responses judged by our debate experts.

  • Community Debates let users create debate topics for everyone to join. These open, flexible debates cover everything from lighthearted subjects to thought-provoking philosophical questions. Perfect for practicing argumentation in a relaxed setting. Each user can create up to three Community Debates monthly, keeping our platform dynamic, creative, and community-driven.

  • Revived Debates bring older Debater of the Month debates back into current competition. Each debater receives three revival tokens monthly to vote for past debates, re-entering them into the current contest. Update previous arguments or keep them unchanged, earning fresh votes from new readers. This unique feature reignites quality discussions and gives strong debates renewed attention.

  • VersyTalks does not use AI to generate or assist in creating arguments. All debate content must be human-written to maintain authenticity and fairness. However, using AI tools for grammar correction or preliminary topic research is acceptable. This policy ensures every argument reflects genuine critical thinking and human creativity.

  • A "Debate" is the central question or topic—for example, "Should AI regulate court cases?" A "Discussion" is the one-on-one exchange between two debaters within that debate. When debaters respond directly to each other's arguments, they create discussion threads allowing focused rebuttals and deeper engagement on specific points.

  • Currently, you can follow other debaters. Visit a user's profile and click Follow to see their recent activity, posts, and most appreciated debates in your Appreciated Content tab. Topic following isn't available yet but may be added in future updates to help users connect with specific themes they enjoy debating.
