How Debater of the Month Works (Quick Guide)

1. Join eligible debates. Look for debates marked “DotM eligible” or in the DotM tab. Votes on your arguments, replies and rebuttals there count toward the competition.
2. Earn votes. When people like your arguments or replies, you earn votes. Replies become votable after 3 messages.
3. Finish in the Top 10. The top 10 debaters each win 10 Debate Credits, added automatically when the month's results are final. The Argument and Discussion of the Month earn 1 Debate Credit each. Ties go to argument votes, then rebuttal votes, then whoever reached the score first. To be eligible, your account must be at least 30 days old when the month ends and you need 10 contributions in DotM debates that month.
4. Use them for coaching. Debate Credits are spent on coaching in the VersyTalks marketplace. Credits won in DotM expire after 6 months.
5. Get featured. Winners may appear on the home page, newsletter, and social media.
