The near universal absence of gay marriage throughout human history across cultures reflects deep societal wisdom rather than prejudice. If acceptance and proliferation of LGBT rights was not harmful, there should occasionally be examples of societies implementing them and having them survive for at least 100 years.

This argument doesn't make a lot of sense for multiple reasons, but if we focus on just why it doesn't make sense to use historical events as the standard, then consider something as simple as the right for women to vote. Historically, before this point, women were not allowed to vote, and were typically even seen as 'lesser' beings as compared to men. SOME women got the right to vote in 1918, and going off of your logic, which states that for something to not be harmful, it should have been accepted for at least 100 years, then the woman's right to vote has only very recently not become harmful? Simultaneously, surgery in a sterile environment also did not exist until the 1890s. That doesn't make it harmful because it wasn't prevalent before then. A society not implementing things for whatever reason doesn't mean that what they're implementing is harmful. This argument has basically nothing to stand on.

I’m not so sure as for being legal but there are definitely societies that at least accepted certain gay marriages (Rome, Mesopotamia to name a few), but the argument itself is flawed because ancient societies aren't the same as today's societies (for example, maybe population growth was important for ancient societies and causing them to ban gay marriage while it isn't something as important for us). Arguments like this aren't very productive because we should focus on the effects of this issue today rather than speculating on ancient societies in relation to this issue.
