Transgender individuals should be permitted to use bathrooms and public spaces designated for the gender with which they identify, as it reflects their true identity. Forcing them to utilize facilities designed for their assigned gender at birth can lead to discomfort and distress. Furthermore, there is no evidence to suggest that allowing transgender people to use restrooms that align with their gender identity results in an increased risk of assault or violations of privacy. Multiple organizations, such as the Policing Project and the Williams Institute at UCLA School of Law, have repeatedly failed to find any documented cases. If they aren't harming their community, why strip them of their rights?
