The question is somewhat ill-formed. Legal age for what? In the United States, for example, there are various legal ages for various things. 18, for voting rites and most other things related to legal adulthood, 21 is the legal age for being able to purchase and own various controlled products, alcohol, ciggaretes and in many jurisdictions concealed-carry firearms. The legal age for election to the Senate is 30 and for the presidency, 35. What is to be the legal age for some specific thing can be debated. I may not agree with some specific Legal age requirements in the United States, but I can't just say it should be raised to an older age without knowing what specifically we are talking about. I do think as a general principle, it is good to have different legal ages for different things.

If we are using the United States' 21 as a reference then no. The US' outdated system has never been proven to provide any type of additional safety. On the contrary, it goes against the human nature of young adults and teens to, well, experience life. Younger individuals build their character and understanding of dangers through experience, most European countries have understood that truth and built their legal age limits around controlled and safe experience, like Germany or Czechia.

Legal age should remain at 18. An 18 year old has its own thinking and mature enough to create his own decisions in life as 18 year old teens are considered already as an adult. In some other countries like the United States, a teen of 18 year old is independent enough to manage himself. So, legal age shall remain at 18.
