Should social media platforms regulate political memes?

Political memes shape opinion through humor and quick shares. While they encourage engagement, they can spread misinformation, polarize, and can be used as propaganda. However, memes also provide awareness to certain social issues, to which an initial point for people to search for more information, thus being socially and politically aware. The issue is whether platforms should regulate them to avoid polarization and marginalizing voices through political propagandas but also limiting freedom of political expression.
