Should Immortality be banned.

Question

Given the fast pace of technology advancement, (Quantum computing and General Artificial Intelligence), should we ban the inevitable Human Immortality.

First of all, I do not agree with the premise that immortality is inevitable. At most one might argue that what we currently consider "natural causes of death" could become preventable, but I can't imagine any scenario where technological development makes something like severe head trauma or loss of blood survivable. Secondly, such a ban would most likely imply banning life saving procedures (unless there's specifically a pill that makes you immortal). How could one argue that a person, regardless of age, isn't entitled to receive an emergency intervention?

Humans were never meant to be a constant, we were made to experience the world. On the context of human immortality, we must first acknowledge that this is a complex, multifaceted topic. Firstly, how would the system of immortality be implemented? Surely, the ultra-rich would be the foremost benefeciaries of this. This would be devastating, not because I support the theory that more people should have access to eternal life, but because the billionaires among us are the people causing the most harm to us (Refer: Elon Musk as an example). Secondly, this would undoubtedly cause mass overpopulation, which is already a rising issue in today's world. Lastly, life is enjoyed because of its scarcity. Give a man a lifetime, and he dies, having lived. Give a man eternity, and he lives as if dead.

It is impossible to ban immortality since we don't know someone isn't immortal until they've died.

I should've added the premise "If we don't kill ourselves or get destroyed by aliens". Now i think it's logical to say it's just a matter of time until we can achieve Immortality. What i'm refering too, which i believe some trillionaires might get it alarmingly soon, is just not aging, not, becoming invincible to all damage. Also, we're very close to avoid death by meteor. In a few decades we can get protection against super volcanos, solar flares and coronal mass ejections. And then, in a millennia, a few colonies around the solar system and we're pretty much unextinguishable. Excluding the above premise. The first person that becomes immortal, becomes almost a different species. With a quantum computer and a general AI, i can't even imagine the god complex and, i think, certain tyrant.
