Many landmarks around the world have been reconstructed or have received a level of renovation to improve the look, perennity or safety of visit for tourists. But some are still completely untouched since they were first built.

"Modernizing" historical landmarks is basically the same thing as defacing them. It would be completely disrespectful and take away from its true meaning. Indian and veteran burial grounds are considered historic landmarks because the people buried there made huge contributions to our history, so we know doing things like building pipelines through them is extremely disrespectful. We should be paying respects to our history, not destroying it.

As stated in the description of this motion, it says that modernization is to improve the look and safety of visit for tourists. Many paintings are retouched, the picture frame refurbished, and many tourist places are kept safe without defacing the area. It Has Never been said the rate of modernization, but I believe it's fair to say these people who are doing these renovations are still staying true to what the art piece or building had originally in mind. Modernization leads to more exposure.

Modernizing them is like keeping them firm for the next 1000 years to come and if they didn't have foundations we see now human race wouldn't embrace and respect them but they must maintain the core values which makes them Historical because they carry a big attachment to the people in the precinct they're found. modernizing them should be giving them an additional security walls ,re-registering them to modern systems to ease access to tourists but not scrapping off what formally makes them

As I saw many monuments are getting degrading by time which is natural and if we don't do anything about it then one day they will get deteriorate and upcoming generation couldn't be able to see these works of art and architecture which is so precious preserving the cultural heritage Rehabilitating or reconstructing old buildings to there original architecture could be a great idea and by preserving old buildings by renovation can give their uniqueness and originality of carvings back to them.

There's a fine line between "Fixing" and "Modernizing" . Making a landmark safe would be fixing, because that means repairing anything that could be dangerous or worn while keeping the original meaning, like how the constitution is fixed with microscopic tools to keep the ink from wearing off. As mentioned otherwise, modernizing is defacing, so say we wanted to modernize the constitution by rewriting it. It's important not to get the two words mixed up.

Improving safety and regulation for tourists and visitors is important, but the term modernization implies being adjusted to appeal to modern preferences rather than respect the historical value of it. If we openly allow modernization of historical landmarks, how far can we "modernize" before the landmark's historical value is completely diminished. The whole point of these historical monuments and landmarks are to allow us to take a glimpse of what the past was like, and what happened there. Especially with the landmarks that have barely changes due to the pure quality of the materials and the construction, why should we change it if theres nothing wrong with it?
