Should criminals be executed in public?
...
Often times, when a criminal commits a grave, inhumane crime, and there is public outrage, many people propose the idea of public executions being legal. But I have been thinking about this, and there seems to be a lot of moral concerns that I have with it, because, I, as a classical liberal, believe that executions/capital punishments should be carried out behind bars, as even at death, human dignity should be protected, no matter the crimes. If we fall to their level, there is no distinction between moral law and criminals. Please feel free to share your thoughts. Thanks.
