If Christianity is true (meaning that salvation, moral accountability, and eternal consequences are real), then not teaching it would be irresponsible. We teach children what we believe protects and guides them. Christianity, when properly understood, offers a moral framework, purpose, and the promise of redemption. If something carries eternal significance, presenting it as just one optional perspective would undermine its importance. Teaching it sincerely doesn’t eliminate freedom, as many people later choose differently, but it ensures they at least know the path.

This is a very extreme debate motion. Only because of its extreme nature, must I go against it. Christianity, like many religions, is filled with cruel and irrational history and maintains to this day some practices and anti-thinking natures. But, it does hold a major role of peace and calm for many people (family and children in this case) and we can't say that, this point is evil.

This is a difficult question to answer without much more substantially defining the terms in question. Though "Christianity" may have at one point denoted a more or less unified system of beliefs, to my mind, without getting into arguments about what is the "true" Christianity, it is more pragmatic to refer to christianities This being the case before we can say whether christianity is "evil" we first would have to specify what christianity we are talking about, or more specifically which doctrines in particular do we find evil. Or is the very concept of having a central "Christ" character in itself evil, as this is perhaps the only thing universal to all religions that identify with the label "Christian"? In addition, "evil" needs a definition. Evil according to whose standard?

No religion should be taught as absolute truth because, firstly, there is no absolute truth (except perhaps physics), and secondly, adherence to a religion is based on faith, and faith entails doubt. Faith is rooted in doubt, and doubt honors the beauty of faith.

No. A person should have the right to any religion. Religion should not be forced and if any religion forces you it means hat the religion is not correct. End of argument.

When Christianity is used to justify abuse its not ok, because I have Religious trauma I would personally say not raising your kids in the religion but let them get their choice

I believe that people should be allowed to choose what to believe in, whether that is being an atheist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, or any other religion! All religions have some flaws, including Christianity, so everyone should be allowed to believe what they want and not be forced or taught what to believe with no other options.

There is a difference between teaching truth and forcing Christianity on your child. Religious trauma and abuse is very real, but because something was weaponized for selfish purposes that doesn't make it untrue. If a Christian truly believes what they believe, then to not teach it as absolute truth would be being content with damning your child to an eternity in hell. I think we can agree that we should teach our children the truth, so then it would become a debate as to whether or not Christianity is true.

You should introduce your child to Christianity and if they have questions answer them to the best of your ability or communicate with a priest or pastor for questions you don't know rather than give them false information. After all of that let them decide what they believe because Christianity, like all other religions, is built on faith in a higher power rather than force feeding them what you believe.
