Parents should still pay education taxes after their children are out of school.

Education taxes are public funds collected by governments—usually through property taxes, income taxes, or other levies—to finance schools, teacher salaries, facilities, and educational programs. These taxes are typically paid by all residents of a community, regardless of whether they currently have children enrolled in school. This model has its roots in the rise of compulsory public education in the 19th century. As industrial societies expanded, governments recognized that literacy and basic education were essential for civic participation, economic development, and national strength. Early advocates argued that schooling benefits everyone by creating an informed citizenry, reducing crime, and strengthening the workforce.
