A UK government-commissioned review into antisemitism and racism in the National Health Service (NHS) has recommended that staff should not wear political symbols, such as pro-Palestinian or pro-Israel badges, while in uniform. The review, led by the government’s independent adviser on antisemitism, argues that visible political expressions in healthcare settings may affect patient trust and workplace neutrality. The recommendations follow reports of discrimination concerns within the NHS and are expected to be adopted by NHS England following consultation.
