Does Capitalism incentivize anti-competitive behavior and monopoly creation?
...
Per Wikipedia, Capitalism is an economic system based on the private ownership of the means of production and their use for the purpose of obtaining profit. A key component is the Profit Motive, or the motivation for companies to maximize the money they make; to make as much money as possible. We see examples of large, multi-national conglomerates and their tendency to buy out competition or push them out through legal means (lawsuits and lobbying) to preserve their profit margins and market share. Does Capitalism, as its practiced, encourage anti-competitive behavior and monopolization?
